The symbolism of a Star is humanity, divinity, faith, guidance, excellence, motivation, magic, and fame. The Star can also represent God, it is one of the strongest symbols in multiple religions and faiths, and is a sign of divine protection.

Stars are also seen as a symbol of hope, this is why seeing a shooting star is  considered to bring good fortune. This has led to the common act of making a wish upon a shooting star. Stars have always been steeped with awe and wonder, you only have to stare up into a clear night’s sky to experience inner peace and feel how insignificant you are in the grand scale of things.

The five-pointed Star is a divine symbol of oneness; the point at the top of the star represents Spirit, the other points represents the four elements; Wind, Water, Air, and Earth. The Star represents the connection of our incarnation and our bond to Mother Earth. The five-pointed Star also represents the incarnation of Jesus Christ.

Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass formed as an extrusive igneous rock. It is produced when lava from a volcano cools rapidly with minimal crystal growth. Obsidian can be found in various regions around the world where volcanic activity has occurred, including areas like the United States, Mexico, Japan, Italy, and Turkey.

In terms of appearance, obsidian typically has a smooth, glassy texture with a vitreous luster. Its color can vary depending on the presence of trace elements and impurities, ranging from jet black to brown, green, red, or even translucent hues. Obsidian often exhibits conchoidal fracture patterns, meaning it breaks with smooth, curved surfaces resembling the inside of a seashell. This unique fracture pattern is a result of the volcanic glass lacking any crystalline structure, allowing it to fracture in a smooth, curved manner.

Obsidian has been used for various purposes throughout history, including as tools, weapons, and ornamental objects due to its sharp edges and attractive appearance. In addition to its practical uses, obsidian is also valued in spiritual and metaphysical practices for its believed ability to provide protection, absorb negative energy, and facilitate emotional healing and transformation.
