Cuprite, also known as Red Copper, or Ruby Copper, because of its striking red colour, is found in different locations around the world, but most come from Namibia, Zaire and the USA. Cuprite is a copper oxide mineral that’s usually red, brownish red, crimson red, or blackish red.
