Malacolla is the combination of Malachite and Chrysocolla stones. It is found in Russia, Zaire, Australia, Namibia, South Africa, Australia, Germany, Romania, Chile, Mexico and the United States. Chrysocolla is a copper stone, ranging from light green to deep blue, and is often found in association with Malachite and Azurite. Some chrysocolla contains Cuprite.
Malacolla carries both the rich green rings of malachite and the bold turquoise hues of chrysocolla. Malacolla aligns with the elements of earth and water, as well as the heart and throat chakras. It encourages emotional release, and it brings a unique healing connection to Gaia, or Mother Earth.
On its own, chrysocolla is very soft and fragile, with a hardness of only 2, but when mixed with these other minerals becomes harder at 6.5 to 7.
