Merkaba is ancient Egypt, the literal translation of Merkaba means Mer-rotating fields of light, Ka-spirit, and Ba-soul. One of the Sacred Geometry forms, The Merkaba is believed to achieve transformation on all levels of existence. In Hebrew, Merkabas' meaning is chariot, vehicle for ascension. Merkabas are tetrahedrons, made by the intersection of two, three-sided pyramids. The Merkaba is the geometric shape of the human energy field (or aura) and it is good for spiritual transformation as well as helping to connect with our Higher Selves.

Unakite was first discovered in the United States in the Unakas mountains of North Carolina from which it gets its name. It can be found on the shores of Lake Superior. Unakite exists in various shades of green and pink and is usually mottled in appearance. Green and pink spotted granite contains green epidote and feldspar.

Among crystal healing practitioners, unakite is used to support convalescence from illness. It is also believed to affect the reproductive system, healthy pregnancy and the growth of skin and hair.

Unakite is associated with two chakras: to the third eye chakra for its use in vision and scrying and to the heart chakra for its ability to balance emotions. It is not a current birthstone, but it has been historically assigned to March. It is also thought to offer patience and balance to Capricorn and Scorpio.
