Gold Sheen Obsidian is mined in Mexico and in Oragon, USA. In Mexico, the mining of Obsidian is done by shovels, pickaxes and wheelbarrows. Silver Sheen Obsidian comes from Mexico. In both Gold Sheen and Silver Sheen Obsidian, when held up in bright light, it has a flash of sparkling gold or silver coloured chatoyance of light seeming to glow from within.  Gold Sheen Obsidian is formed when gas bubbles are created in the lava before it solidifies. 

Gold Sheen Obsidian and Silver Sheen Obsidian are excellent tools for gazing, viewing the future, or accessing knowledge from the past.
