How to use your essential oils

Applications

 

BATH 

Mix 8-12 drops (2-3 drops for children) in a carrier oil, add to bath salts, bath water or to a hand/foot soak.

PERFUME 

Add 2-3 drops to 10ml of pure water in a glass mister or to a carrier oil such as Jojoba or Grapeseed. Apply to wrists, behind ears or on any erogenous zones. Add 3-4 drops to our natural liquid deodorant.

COLD COMPRESS

Add 10 drops of essential oil to 500ml of cold water, submerge washcloth, wring excess water and apply to affected area. Helpful with swelling, bruises & sprains.

HOT COMPRESS

Add 10 drops of essential oil to 500ml of hot water, submerge washcloth, wring excess water and apply to affected area. Helpful with swelling, bruises & sprains.

DIFFUSE

Add several drops of oil to an aromatherapy diffuser or spray bottle of water.

HYDROSOL

Available as a hydrosol/floral water.

HAIR CARE

Add 5-8 drops to 120ml of unscented shampoo or conditioner.

INHALATION

Add 2-3 drops to a bowl of hot water, inhale deeply for 5 minutes.
Place a few drops on a tissue, bring close to nose and take several deep breaths. 

MASSAGE

 Add 7-12 drops to 60ml carrier oil. Rub into stressed area.

NEAT

Can be applied directly to the skin.

SKIN CARE

Add a several drops to 120ml unscented lotion or body wash.


Cautions 

EPILEPTIC

 Avoid in cases of epilepsy, asthma or convulsions.

PREGNANCY

Avoid during pregnancy.

PHOTOSENTITIVE

May have a chemical response to sunlight.

SKIN IRRITANT

 May cause slight inflammation or other discomfort to the body. Do not apply to broken skin or wound.
