Rainbow Moonstone typically exhibits a milky white to translucent color with a blue sheen that appears to float just beneath the surface of the stone. This optical phenomenon, known as adularescence, creates a mesmerizing play-of-color reminiscent of the moon's ethereal glow. The stone may also display flashes of other colors such as pink, peach, yellow, and green, adding to its allure. Rainbow Moonstone is often cut into cabochons to enhance its adularescent effect, making it a popular choice for jewelry settings.
