As its name indicates, Lava Stone, also known as Basalt, and Lava Rock, is a volcanic rock formed from lava eruptions. This grey to black or brown gemstone is porous, which makes an excellent essential oil diffuser to wear or to display in a bowl on the desk or bedside. One to two drops of oil will last two to three days. This gemstone comes from the core of the Earth, it is a raw energy, and it is considered a stone of rebirth, assisting in shedding unneeded layers of emotional attachments. Lava Stone is one of the oldest and most frequently found stones around the world and its origin plays a key role in its healing properties. It is a great stabilizing gemstone, grounding and calming the wearer.  In years past, it was worn by soldiers to help them remain calm during battle. As it grounds the receiver, Lava Stone bestows feelings of safety and security. This is due to its strong connection to Earth.
