Heulandite is a mineral belonging to the zeolite group, typically found in cavities and vesicles within volcanic rocks such as basalt and andesite. It is commonly associated with other zeolite minerals such as stilbite and apophyllite. Heulandite occurs in many locations worldwide, including India, Iceland, Germany, Scotland, the United States, and Italy.

Heulandite crystals typically form as tabular or prismatic aggregates with a complex, interconnected structure. They often appear as translucent to transparent crystals with a vitreous to pearly luster. Heulandite can exhibit various colors, including white, colorless, pink, peach, yellow, orange, brown, and green, depending on the presence of impurities such as iron, manganese, and copper.
