This beautiful bracelet is made of 8mm Lepidolite. A translucent to opaque, pink, light purple, light rose, or red coloured gemstone. It is rarely found in light grey, yellow or colourless. It has a virtuous to pearly lustre and usually cut into fancy shapes, (never faceted) for jewelry. Lepidolite was first discovered in 1861 in Brazil, but has been found in many other countries since, including Canada. It is a lithium, aluminium-rich mica. Found in tiny veins, often with Tourmaline and Quartz. Lepidolite is an important source of lithium that is used as a mood-stabilizing drug.
