This beautiful bracelet is made of Ruby Zoisite. Ruby Zoisite is a natural occurring combination of Ruby, green Zoisite and black Tschermakite. This combination creates mottled patterns that are interesting and beautiful. Ruby Zoisite is often confused with Ruby Fuchsite. The difference being that the Ruby in Fuchsite have distinctive borders but there is none in the Zoisite. The Ruby in Zoisite is usually marked by a scattering of black flecks (hornblende crystals). Ruby Zoisite is found in Tanzania, Africa where is was first discovered in 1956. Recently, this gemstone has also been found in India.
