Stichtite is found in Australia, Canada, South Africa, and Tasmania. Stichtite is opaque and carries a colour range from a light pink, to hot pink, or a very deep purple colour. To touch, this gemstone has a nice soapy feel, much like Soapstone. It's named after its discoverer, Robert Stich, in Tasmania in 1910.

Metaphysically, Stichtite is a high vibrating gemstone that is beleived to bring more awareness of one's guardian angels and spiritual guides. Also beleived to increase intuition. Its energies are said to support the Third Eye and the Crown Chakras and to resonates with the Purple Flame.
