Prehnite used to be a rare collector’s gemstone, that was originally found in Africa, It was the first mineral to be named after an individual, Colonel Hendrik von Prehn (1733-1785), a Dutch mineralogist.  However, it is more available today, since it is now sourced from Australia, Scotland, the USA and China (where it is also called “Grape Jade” because of it formations which resemble a bunch of grapes).
