A rare crystal, Elestial Quartz,  also called Skeletal, Alligator, or Jacare, is most often formed from Smoky or Clear Quartz, but it is also found in Amethyst, Rose Quartz, and Citrine. Most are found in Brazil, but occasionally found in India, Australia, Africa, and other countries. The appearance of Elestial Quartz is amazing patterns of pyramidal/triangular terminations which can look like stair steps layered on top of each other. Elestials can also have unusual etchings, cavities, or geometric like patterns and sometimes ‘enhydro’ bubbles of water in hollow areas, thus the name “skeletal” Quartz. Elestials also often contain Phantoms.  

Rarely, these crystals, may be found in other varieties such as Amethyst Cacoxenite found in Brazil that is a mix of seven minerals. Others are, pale pink Rose Quartz, lavender or purple Amethyst, and Natural Citrine.
