Lithium Elestial Quartz

Lithium elestial quartz, also known simply as lithium quartz or lithium phantom quartz, originates from various regions around the world, including Brazil, Madagascar, the United States, and Namibia. It is a variety of quartz crystal that contains inclusions of lithium, typically in the form of lithium aluminum silicate.

A rare crystal, Elestial Quartz,  also called Skeletal, Alligator, or Jacare, is most often formed from Smoky or Clear Quartz. The appearance of Elestial Quartz is amazing patterns of pyramidal/triangular terminations which can look like stair steps layered on top of each other. Elestials can also have unusual etchings, cavities, or geometric like patterns and sometimes ‘enhydro’ bubbles of water in hollow areas, thus the name “skeletal” Quartz. Elestials also often contain Phantoms.  Lithium elestial quartz often exhibits a translucent to transparent appearance, with a range of colors from pale pink to deep purple or violet, depending on the concentration of lithium inclusions. These crystals may display intricate growth patterns and formations, with etchings, ridges, and terminations that give them a unique and fascinating appearance.

One of the most distinctive features of lithium elestial quartz is its "phantom" or "elestial" formations. Phantoms are internal ghost-like images or layers within the crystal, often caused by interruptions in the growth process where additional mineral layers are deposited over time. Elestial formations refer to complex geometric patterns and etchings on the surface of the crystal, indicating multiple growth stages and intricate crystalline structures.

Lithium elestial quartz is highly valued for its energetic properties, believed to combine the amplifying properties of quartz with the calming and soothing effects of lithium.
