This beautiful bracelet is made of Turquenite beads. Turquenite is a dyed Howlite gemstone that has been available since the 1970s. Howlite is shaped into irregular nodules that resembles a cauliflower. Turquoise was becoming more difficult to obtain and that is why Howlite was used because of its porous texture that can be easily dyed to imitate other minerals, especially Turquoise because of the superficial similarity of the veining patterns. Once the Howlite is dyed, it takes on a different energy, that is similar to Turquoise.
