Vatican stone is made up of Ammolite in a Black Limestone matrix, which means it is full of ancient fossilized sea creatures that can be seen with the naked eye. Found in the same Italian quarry that was used to build the Vatican over 1500 years ago, they are named for their connection to the sacred site.
